Albany Parking Permits Review Website In 1989 I moved to downtown Albany from Delmar, I brought with me my two children(11 + 8) and raised them here in Albany, founding my business here and ultimately investing buy buying my home and a rental property. When I moved here the Residential Parking Permits Issue was a hot one.
Here ELEVEN years later it is still an unresolved hot issue. What is different today from when I moved here in 1989 is that my children have grown and moved out or gone off to college.
Nothing has changed except we have a different Mayor than in 1989, a different Governor than in 1989, a different State Senator than in 1989, a different State Legislator than in 1989, a different City Council than in 1989, different Union leadership than in 1989, different union members for all we know than 11 years ago, BUT my children have grown up and matured and moved on.
Has anyone else? The union rhetoric has a gimme gimme childlike quality. The politicians all have lied to us one time or another acting quite child like.
I urge you to join me and the many other Albany residents who believe in Albany as a beautiful place to live and work and raise a family.
Remember the Movie Network? Albert Phinney leans out the window and Shouts: "Im mad as Hell and Im not going to take it anymore"
The only way we are going to have self rule is to take this issue to the next level, so in eleven years from now when we have a new bunch of mayors, governors and legislators, they will be a mature, reasonable bunch, not a bunch of babies who are afraid of the Unions....
And maybe a Residential Parking Permit System.
